Classroom Updates

Welcome to 7th Grade ELA!

Welcome students, parents and guardians!

I am your new ELA teacher and I am eager to get you all motivated and back into online learning!

This year things will be a little different. For example, the assignments are all mandatory and required for all students to pass their courses. We are going to take advantage of all the wonderful things you learned last year during the pandemic and build on those skills and past lessons together as a TEAM! If you feel overwhelmed, stressed or confused there are resources and support personnel available to assist. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding lessons, small groups, or anything else.  I am happy to speak with you and clarify any confusion or concerns you or your family may have regarding the class.

I  am so excited to begin working with you! This year is going to be a little different than in the past, however it will still be effective, engaging and enligthening! Remember, we’re in this together and we will get through this time.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Odeneal

Teacher Bio

I was born and raised in Kankakee, Illinois. I moved to Arizona in 2014 with my handsome husband and children. My youngest son is also in 7th grade. I have taught students in various levels for over 13 years, but middle school is my favorite! I am the second to the youngest and I love to write! I earned my BA in English from Eastern Illinois University and my MAE from American InterContinental University Online. I love helping others pursue their hopes and dreams and eventually making dreams come true!

About Our Classroom Rules

Please understand that this is a new learning experience and we can only stay successful by communicating with one another and staying on task. There are many obstacles that can get in your way and distract you on your journey. However, the most important goal is that you are learning and communicating with all of your teachers so that you can get all the help that you need to stay successful and on track. I have a few simple rules

Respect everyone at all times

Communicate your issues, concerns to an adult immediately

Always use your time well

Stay on task and attentive online

Turn in all assignments on time

Ask for help in a timely manner

Always Give it your Best Shot

Take your time
