Meet Mrs. Burnett!!!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Ebony Burnett and I will be your child’s 1st grade teacher this school year! I am very excited about the work and learning that will take place in our classroom. Education has always been and continues to be my lifelong passion. It is this passion that excites me about working with our future dream makers who I will help prepare for the future.

I have been teaching for 17 years now and currently hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood & Psychology in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and several Early Childhood endorsements that will assist me in the classroom. For the past fifteen years, I have worked as an Early Childhood Teacher and educator in several different capacities.

My experience includes working with typical and atypical children birth to age eight in child care centers throughout the valley. I have also had the privilege to train, supervise and provide feedback to other professionals in the field of Early Childhood. It is this expertise in the field that I hope to bring to the classroom in order to make your child’s experience this year a memorable one.

I am married and have six children ranging from 12-24 years of age. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to all types of music, writing poetry and traveling! Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or need assistance in any way this school year. I don’t want you to ever feel that you are inquiring about anything too much. I am here for you and want you to know that this school year will be one of the best yet!
