Teacher Bio

My name is Mrs. Saltarelli and I am beginning my 23rd year of teaching!  I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area in February of 1997.  I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish and, later, graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education.  I have previously taught in the Cartwright School District and the Dysart School District.  I am excited to begin a new year in 8th grade Math!

I am happily married, have four children, and three dogs. My dogs are a very important part of our family and I talk about them all the time! I love to teach, travel, and watch movies.  The most important thing to me in the whole world is my family. My youngest son, Sean, graduated from my alma mater, Arizona State University, is currently serving in the Air Force. My daughter is pursuing a career in the federal government.

My favorite academic subject area is math.  I love teaching that subject and have a real passion for teaching in general! Also, I believe reading and learning is exciting and fun and I have high academic expectations for all my students! Now that you know something about me, I am looking forward to seeing you all!

As an extended classroom community, we are about to embark on a learning adventure together.  As a team, I know we can make great things happen.
