Science Class

Assignment Content

There are usually two assignments per day and are made available after the live lesson. These assignments are posted to Google Classroom and consist of an independent practice and a quiz. The independent practice helps students develop a conceptual understanding of the lesson while the quizzes prompt student to apply what they learned. The questions from the quiz involve a greater depth in understanding so it is recommended that students complete the independent practice first.

Google Classroom

Assignments for science class are found in Google Classroom. In Google classroom students can see what has been assigned, what assignments are missing, and a list of completed assignments. The raw score for each assignment can be found on Google Classroom as well so students are advised to check their raw score and retake assignments that have scores they are not satisfied with. Students have all they information they need on Google Classroom to stay up to date throughout the school year.

Google Guardian Summaries

Google Guardian Summaries is a feature on Google Classroom that parents and guardians can use to get automatic updates on how their students are doing in science class. Parents and guardians can specify how often they would like these automatic updates. The following information is provided in Google Summaries:

• Work assigned
• Missing assignments
• Assignments completed

Guardian summaries do not provide updates on grades. Information on grades must be retrieved from StudentVue, ParentVue, the student, or myself.

Math Class

Assignment Content

Before exploring a new chapter, students add in chapters to their folders. Assignments are assigned from their book and they have a homework card that informs students what assignments they have and what page number they can found in. Students are expected to complete the assignments found in that homework card. Grades will be updated on StudentVue/ParentVue weekly.
