Classroom Updates

Welcome to the 20-21 School Year!

Hello everyone!!

Even though this school year is starting off very different from typical years, I am still beyond excited to get started! I hope you had a great summer! Now, we’re just a couple days away from getting started with school again. Monday 8/3 is Parent Orientation day and Tuesday 8/4 is Student Orientation Day with your homeroom teachers. All classes get started on Wednesday 8/5!!

In Google Classroom, students will have access to Google Meets during their scheduled Live Lessons. Students will also have access to Nearpods for almost every lesson! Some teachers will also share a Bitmoji classroom for students to use (students will have this for my classes!!) What a fun new way to have classes while we are in distance learning!

For music, I have a “Classroom Update” here on my website that has a list of Music Games! If students get bored during the day and have some time to play around, please give it a look! (You will need to scroll down a bit on the page to find this update).

I am here for anything you need! Please send me an email if there is anything I can help you with at tmurphy@laveeneld.org. Cheers to a great beginning of the school year!

Aladdin Jr. Cancelled for Spring 2020

Hello everyone,

We’re sad to announce that Aladdin Jr. will be cancelled for this school year. I thank everyone for all of their hard work that they have put into this show. In light of this, choreography videos will not be uploaded to Google Classroom. If students still want to sing along though, go for it 🙂

When we return, Ms. Tryon and I will be collecting any and all items that we would be using for the show. Thank you again for all of your hard work.

TSP Bingo!!

Check out this BINGO form that the Specials Team created for everyone! Students that complete BINGO can win prizes! Take a look at the attached image 🙂

Spring Festival 2020 Cancelled

I am sorry to report that the Spring Festival 2020 has been cancelled. Even though we will not be performing on March 28th, students will still be doing mini-performances of the music we have been practicing! This is to ensure we meet our performance National Standards. They have been working so hard, that I would hate for it to go to waste! I know they will do great 🙂

If you have questions on what they can be practicing while they are out of school, stay posted to your email! Emails are going out with information to help. But as always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions! Thanks everyone!
