Mrs. Badonie’s Bio

Yá’at’ééh! (Hello in Navajo)

My name is Mary Badonie. I am from a small community on the Navajo Reservation called, Ganado, AZ. After I graduated high school, I attended Arizona State University and received my B.A. in Elementary Education. A little after my undergrad, I attended The University of Phoenix and received my Master’s in Teacher Leadership.

I am a mom of 2 beautiful kids and a wife to an amazing husband. We are a sports family – my son plays football, basketball, and runs track. My daughter is in basketball and track, and she wants to play volleyball as she gets older. We are also avid Sun Devil Football fans!

This will be my 16th year of teaching and my 5th year as a First Grade Teacher! I’ve taught in Public schools and a Charter school over the years. I am looking forward to teaching Kindergarten once again at Desert Meadows because I LOVE to be one of the first building blocks of a student’s foundation of learning! The growth that a 6/7 year old is amazing and I am excited to be a part of their academic journey!

Thank you very much,

Mrs. Badonie 🐝
