Teacher Bio

Mr. Sandoval hails from the city of Mexicali, Baja California Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish as he lived in the city until migrating to the U.S. with his family in 2007, stepping first in Chandler, AZ and eventually settling in El Centro, CA . Growing up in diverse communities has helped Mr. Sandoval learn about different cultures and their music, now he enjoys listening and performing in a wide variety of musical genres.

Mr. Sandoval graduated with a BA in Music Education from Grand Canyon University were he spent 4 years learning from some of Phoenix’s best musicians including Tim Haas, Col. Frank Dubuy, and Dave Bacon. In his time at GCU Mr. Sandoval was involved working in leadership positions leading GCU’s pep band under the direction of Dr. Paul Koch were he also worked as Dr. Koch’s student assistant director; Mr. Sandoval studied saxophone with Andrew Gross and Dr. Scott Zimmer.

Besides having the commitment of teaching music to your students, Mr. Sandoval is an avid performer in the greater Phoenix area. He performs saxophone and drums across the city in various musical genres including blues, rock, jazz, and samba. Mr. Sandoval is currently undertaking several projects such as recording and releasing music, he firmly believes that his ongoing growing experience in musical performance will provide your students with the best possible music teacher.
