More Arty Ideas while you are at home!

Here are some fun art videos on YouTube:

Muffalo Potato= These videos show how to draw anything with letters and numbers, super fun and harder than it sounds. 2nd-8th

Mati and Dada= These are a series of videos about famous artists.  Mati is a little girl and Dada is her robot friend.  They travel back in time and meet the artist.  Super cute and clever animated series where students learn about an artists. It keeps their attention.  grades k-4.

And here a just a few crafty ideas:

Find some smooth rocks outside and paint them. Acrylic paint works best.  You can turn them into animals, like ladybugs, or paint colors or patterns on them.  Then when they are dry write positive messages or symbols on them with a sharpie.  This can be simple or complex.  You can put the rock in your room, your garden, or leave it for someone to find and spark joy!

Find a stick or a branch and paint patterns on it.  You can also wrap yarn or fabric around it.  This can be simple or complex. Either way it will be a piece of art when you are done.

Make a sculpture with the recyclables at your house.  You can use glue and tape to put it together.  Paint it. It can be a thing, or just an abstract sculpture.

Draw!!

Hope that keeps you busy for a while!  Of course I would love to see anything you do make.  If you need anything you can reach me at jkuster@laveeneld.org.  Take care and be safe.
