Teacher Bio

Heather Hensley is the Middle School Science at Paseo Pointe School. Heather, being a military spouse, has been teaching for 13 years throughout the United States, Before joining the Paseo Point team, she taught at Hope Academy in Detroit, MI. as well as South Pointe, in the Phoenix Area. Prior to that, she taught 7th and 8th grade for seven years at Assets School in Honolulu, HI.  Before moving to Hawaii, she taught as a High School teacher for Toussaint Academy of the Arts and Sciences, a school for homeless youths in San Diego, CA. Through her varied experience and being a parent, she understands that parents entrusted their child to their teachers. They come to school with unique experiences, interests and learning styles. It is her goal is to truly know your child well and use this knowledge to guide, support and motivate him or her. In addition to her experience in the classroom, Heather has technical experience in Science as a an Engineer for a Laser Company and an Interior Communication Electrician in that United State Navy.

Outside of the classroom, her passions include reading and exploring the continental United States with her husband, Marcus, their two daughters and three dogs, Hannibal, Copper, and Todd..
