Teacher Bio

Welcome to Individuals and Societies! I am so excited to be your teacher and I can’t wait to get to know you. We will have a great year full of new friends, new adventures and new discoveries. This will be my 4th year teaching and my first year EFGA. I am so excited to live and work in this wonderful community. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, watching sports (Go Suns!), traveling, and trying new restaurants in the Phoenix area.

I have a passion for the global studies signature program here at EFGA. During my undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Munich, Germany. My passion for learning about the world around me began. After college, I moved to Madrid, Spain for two years where I taught English in a public secondary school and also completed a master degree in International Education. I cannot wait to share my experiences in travel and culture with your students.

In this classroom, your student is respected and cared about, and as a parent/guardian, I value your ideas, thoughts, and actions. Every student has unique talents and strengths and I’m excited for your Scorpion to share them with us. Your student is a valuable member of the EFGA community and will bring so much to our class. Let’s get the year started!

Please contact me with any questions or concerns anytime throughout the year. I want to partner with you in order to best support your student!
