Teacher Bio

My name is Ms. Demerson (but everyone calls me Ms. D). I am so excited to be joining Cheatham this year as the new technology teacher! Although new to the school, this is not my first “act” as an educator! I have two daughters — one will be joining us here at Cheatham and my other one will be heading off to HIGH SCHOOL!

This school year marks my my 3rd (official) year teaching (I used to teach ELA to the “big kids”). I also used to run a Boys & Girls Club in California for a while! I have my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic and Web Design and a Master’s of Elementary Education — GO LOPES!

I was born in Dallas, Texas but my dad’s time in the US Army has sent our family all over the country! I lived in Arizona before (as a high schooler) and just recently moved back in 2019 to pursue my teaching career!
