Teacher Bio

A little bit about me……..

The 2024 – 2025 school year will be my twentieth year of teaching. I love my chosen career as a teacher and enjoy working with children immensely. My current passion is to have every student excited and engaged in Science.

My education includes:

A.A. in Pre-Health from Mount St. Mary’s College (1988)

B.A. in Elementary Education from Ottawa University (2005)

M.A. in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University (2010)

7th/8th Grade General Science Endorsement

K-12 Reading Specialist Endorsement

Education is a lifelong journey that I have committed to. This commitment includes making our classroom a safe, positive, and challenging learning community. From the moment the students walk through the door, I want them to feel that our classroom is their own space, where they are allowed appropriately to explore, be creative, and be imaginative. I want to encourage all students to participate in class to learn from each other.
