Teacher Bio

Welcome to 2nd Grade! My name is Mrs. Quiroz and I will be your child’s second grade teacher this 2023-2024 school year.

A little about me: I am from here in Phoenix, Arizona. I have been a member of the Laveen community for over 7 years and absolutely love it here. I have attended Elementary, Middle, and High School here in the valley. I currently attend Northern Arizona University (NAU) and graduate in December with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (GO LUMBERJACKS!).  I am also married and have a beautiful baby girl and three wonderful fur babies.  I am excited to get to know your students and have you be a part of the Cheatham community.

This year in second grade you can expect your students to develop many new skills academically and socially. As your child’s teacher, my goal is to support every child on their educational journey while instilling a passion for lifelong learning. I will be differentiating instructional strategies to the best of my ability to enrich and support all of our students.
