Teacher Bio

Hello!  My name is Robert Iler and I am so excited to be your child’s physical education teacher.  It is going to be an excited year in PE.  As the year goes on, I will get to know your child very well but, first I will tell you a little about me.

I was born and raised in the Phoenix area.  I have two daughters. My oldest daughter is 22 and graduated from ASU and the youngest daughter is 16 and a junior in high school.  My wife, Mrs. Iler, is also a teacher.  She is a 2nd grade teacher here at TSP.

This is my 7th  year teaching in the Laveen Elementary School District but  5th at TSP.  This is going to be my 20th year of teaching overall.

In the evenings we spend our family time playing sports.  My youngest daughter plays club soccer.   My wife coaches the girls’ varsity soccer team at Desert Edge High School which I assist her with along with coaching club soccer. I regularly play in slowpitch softball, adult basketball leagues/ tournaments, pickleball and fish.

I am excited to be teaching PE at TSP! As you have read I am very active with sports and physical activity and look forward to sharing that excitement with my students!
