Practice reading books from Raz-Kids and then ask them questions about what they read and tell them to show you where they go the answer.
8:25 – 8:45 Writing
Ideas for writing: work on writing upper and lower case letters, write a short story, write the main topic of a book you read and write two details about the topic and draw a picture of main topic
8:45 – 9:00 Centers
Ideas for enters:
Math Center: add two numbers with a sum up to 20 using manipulatives (cookies, crackers, blocks, Lego blocks, anything they can use to count
Reading Center: read a book with your child you can read to them and then they read after you, you can read together at the same time, please give them some time to read independently
Technology Center: They can go to www.ABCYA.com (free website to use), https://www.brainpop.com/ (this is a free site to use during school closure both in English and Spanish) http://literacycenter.net/play_learn/spanish-language-games.php to practice Spanish language skills

Monday: PE
Ideas: Play catch, Learn to dribble a basketball, push-ups, sit-ups, stretching, play soccer in the backyard
Tuesday: Music
Ideas: Learn to play a new instrument, research a composer, learn to write music, introduce your child to new music
Wednesday: Technology
Ideas: Learn how to use google docs, PowerPoint, learn how to send an email, learn how to create a word document
Thursday: PE
Ideas: Play catch, Learn to dribble a basketball, push-ups, sit-ups, stretching, play soccer in the backyard
Friday: Art
Ideas: Paint a picture, take a virtual tour of a museum, research an artist
9:40 – 10:00 Centers

Ideas for science: Observe, describe, ask questions, and predict seasonal weather patterns; and how those patterns impact plants and animals (including humans).This would be a great time to start a garden and how the weather has an impact on your new garden.
10:15 — 10:30 Social Studies
Ideas for social studies: Use, explore, and construct maps, graphs and other geographical representations to support content focus. ▪ Key concepts include but are not limited to graphing local weather and mapping the classroom. You could create a map of your home, your neighborhood, and local city. Go on to google maps and talk about the maps of Arizona (where things are, mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, deserts, and the different forest ranges.
