Teacher Bio
Greetings, to all! I am Mrs. Maria Annie Lee Pilar and I welcome you all to our kindergarten class website, straight from the Kids at Hope School of MC Cash!
It is such an honor to share that I have a loving husband and three kind-hearted children- Paul, Juliene, and Janine. My son Paul and daughter Juliene, are now both college students. They have both graduated from Betty Fairfax High School and are pursuing their tertiary education at South Mountain Community College. Janine, on the other hand, is a 5th-grade teacher in Northern California. We are proud official residents of the Laveen community for 6 years now. We all love music and share jokes at the dinner table. If you happen to be in the community and would like to play music and share jokes, you are welcome to join us!
I am a graduate of Don Mariano State University of the Philippines in 1997. Upon graduation, I taught Reading, Math, Music/Art, Science, and Social Studies to elementary students. I was also absorbed by the College of Education to teach “Children’s Literature” course to 3rd-year college, would-be-teachers. But nothing can compare to teaching our precious 5-year-olds here at MC Cash! They simply add so much color and teach humbling lessons in life.
I would say that time really flies. This year marks the 22nd year of my life-long passion for being the best educator this world allows me to be! This is also my 14th year as a kindergarten teacher here at MC Cash. Yes, it was in 2007 when Ms. Sandomir hired me as one of her kindergarten teachers. It has been such an enjoyable and life-learning journey of growth coming back each school year with such amazing leadership. I am so privileged to fill another year of long-lasting wisdom to all incoming kindergarteners alongside such supportive administrators and colleagues. Yes, to another year of greatness and overcoming hurdles with flying colors for MC Cash!
It is my personal responsibility and goal to let all of my students grow to be the best that they can be! I am always proud to be able to be a part of our future responsible, kind, and productive citizens of this great world. As a Treasure Hunter of our Kids At Hope school, I pledge to search for all the children’s skills and talents and be successful in every single way! No exceptions.
Please meet my family!
