Last Thursday, March 30th was our school’s K-4th grade Spring concert. It was a Disney-themed showcase of all the young voices of students who attend music classes with Mr. Patrick. It was adorable to see how the performers came with their Disney character outfits. I would say, “Good job and thank you to all the parents who shared their time and effort to make sure that they are a part of our school’s spring concert this year. Thank you for supporting our music program. Thank you for supporting our special area teachers. Most of all, thank you for supporting your children!”

Daniel Cruz, Destination Day #3 Winner
Daniel Cruz is one of the chosen winners for our school-wide Kids At Hope Destination Day #3 (Hobbies and Recreation) writing/poster making contest. Daniel’s entry was about fishing with his entire family. He stated that he loves to go on a boat with his mom, dad, and baby sister. He also included that he feels so excited each time his fishing pole catches a fish and his dad gets to help pull it in. In his drawing, he also added an illustration of a shark and a whale, which he said, is what he will capture when he gets older. Yes, Daniel plans on keeping his beloved fishing hobby until he gets older!
Congratulations, Daniel! Your classmates and I are so proud of you! Keep on enjoying and keep on fishing. Make sure that you don’t let the “big one” get away!

We Made it through the AZELLA
I am so proud of all my students who gave their all and tried their best on the AZELLA testing last Monday and Tuesday. They all showed unparalleled perseverance and stamina during the 2-day testing period. To the parents, thank you to all of you as well for bringing them to school on time and keeping them at school during testing. Your support made a huge difference and a great impact to your child’s performance in the test. So, let’s altogether say, “We did it!”
March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ Birthday
Our Class Wins
Our Kindergarten class was one of recipients to a class pizza party for collecting the highest amount during the Laveen Lions Club penny drive last 2016. The Penny Drive was created to provide assistance to the families of the Laveen community who were in need during the holiday season. Each school of the Laveen School District had a winning class that enjoyed a yummy pizza party! Congratulations to all winners!

Parent/Child Dance
The Parent/Child Dance sponsored by our school’s Booster Club was a hit! The fathers, mothers and their children who graced this event have made everlasting memories last Friday, February 10th. It was a sweet and a heartwarming experience to see our school’s families to relax, enjoy and strengthen their family bonds on this unforgettable night. The attendees were able to pose to the camera with their fancy get-ups as they entered the venue and they were also provided with a pasta dinner before working out their feet to the beat and music of a family-owned DJ system.
To the Booster Club officers, the school administration, the cafeteria staff, to all the untiring support and hard work of our teachers at MC Cash, THANK YOU for making this event a success!
