MC Cash Annual Turkey Trot

images

MC Cash will be having its Annual Turkey Trot Event on Wednesday, November 22nd. The Specials Area team, led by Coach Epacs, will be hosting this wonderful MC Cash tradition as we prepare for this year’s Thanksgiving holiday. You are invited to come and join the fun as we all witness who the fastest turkey trotters will be this year. The fastest boy and girl from each grade level will be awarded a free turkey that they can take home to their families for Thanksgiving dinner. Please come prepared with your cameras for this will be another one-of-a-kind experience, here at MC Cash School!

If you decide to attend, kindly stop by the front office to sign in and don’t forget to bring your identification! I hope to see you there! Ready, set, go!

The Letter Dd Delivers

Come and join us as we learn about the letter Dd next week. We will learn how to say its name, say its sound, and write the uppercase and lowercase properly. We will also identify words and pictures/objects that begin with the /d/ sound. We will also find words that have the same ending /d/ sound by decoding CVC words. It may sound a lot but I guarantee you, it will be definitely A LOT! A LOT OF FUN, that is!

A Fun-Filled McTeacher’s Night

Thank you to all families who came and supported our Booster Club by spending your evening with us last Thursday, November 16 at one of the local McDonald’s restaurant. It was so much fun to get to laugh and relax with you while supporting our students. We hope to see you again at our next fundraising event! Thank you!

P.B.I.S. Quarterly Celebration

IMG_1346 (1)

All students, especially the Kindergartners, were given the biggest surprise as they walked into the school library and saw Rocky the Roadrunner last Thursday, November 9th, 2017. The P.B.I.S. Committee hosted the Quarterly P.B.I.S. Celebration by drawing Roadrunner Tickets (RRTs) filled out during the first quarter of the school year. Ms. Goodwin led the event and Ms. Sandomir was there to grace it as she picked the lucky winners from a box full of RRTs. Each class came prepared with a cheer that they shared during the celebration. The students who received the RRTs were celebrated for being Respectful, Accountable, Committed to a safe school, and Engaged. Congratulations to all the winners! Keep it up, Roadrunners!

Please check out a handful of pictures we took in our Gallery section. Enjoy!

This is “Rocky the Roadrunner” of MC Cash as he cheers on students last Wednesday, November 8th, as the school celebrated Kids at Hope Day. The administrators, school staff, parents and other members of the community got together and created The Tunnel of Hope for the students. All students at all grade levels were cheered on for their success as they walked through the Tunnel of Hope Wednesday morning. Thank you to all the Treasure Hunters and Aces who participated in this event. You surely have made this year’s Kids at Hope Day extra special!

If you want to see those smiling faces from our dear treasures, kindly visit our Gallery tab and check out a few pictures I was able to snap!

A Successful First Annual Hall-o-Ween Event

images

Our First Hall-o-Ween Bash last Monday, October 30th, was overwhelmingly supported by the families and the entire MC Cash community. It was a pleasant experience to share a fun and relaxing activity with the students and their families. The students, as well as the teachers, attended with their creative Halloween costumes. There were about 700 attendees at this seasonal event.

If you missed it or better yet if you attended it this year, it will be double the fun if we will see you again in the future Hall-o-Ween @ MC Cash event. Thank you to all who supported us this year! See you again next year!

Hope, Hope, Hooray! It’s Kids At Hope Day!

We will celebrate Kids At Hope Day on November 8th, Wednesday starting at 7:20 a.m. The students will be celebrated by walking through The Tunnel of Hope from their morning recess location to their classrooms. All teachers, school administrators, school staff, and parents will make a tunnel while cheering and encouraging all students to be successful, No Exceptions! Come, join us and be the best cheerleader for all children who are capable of success!
