I am confident that joint partnership is the key to your child’s success in school. It was a pleasure meeting with you all. I enjoyed sharing your child’s “GLOWS” and “GROWS”. If you have any questions or concerns for the rest of the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you and see you ’round and about!

2017 Winter Class Celebration
Last December 21st, all K-4 students were very privileged to be visited by Mr. and Mrs. Clause. Each student received a surprise gift from the beloved couple. This visit was a perfect “prelude” to our class celebration later that day. I was blessed to have a good bunch of parents and families who attended our class party. Their presence made it an unforgettable event for all kids- including myself! Thank you to all moms and dads who spent their precious time with us. I would also like to make a special mention to Mrs. Tirado, Mrs. Ramirez, Mrs. Cortes, Mrs. Valenzuela, Mrs. Soto, Mrs. Ochoa, Mrs. Bravo, Mrs. Rodriguez, Mrs. Atonal for all the hard work you have put to make the delicious homemade tamales and treats that all parents shared and enjoyed. Your kind hearts symbolized the true meaning of the entire season of giving and loving. To Mr. and Mrs. Duran, thank you for being such great sport by joining our parlor games and kept the party alive. Again, to all parents who supported us, through your time, effort, presence, and donations, a huge thank you! Kindly visit our “Gallery Section” for a few pictures of this remarkable day. Thanks!
Winter Parent Teacher Conference
Hello everyone! This is just a friendly reminder that our school is scheduled to have its Winter Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, January 17th, and Thursday, January 18th. Please refer to the announcement and sign up letters that were sent home with your child. If you have not made an appointment with Ms. Martinez and me, please do so and send the sign-up form back no later than Tuesday, January 16th. Thank you and I look forward to meeting with all of you to share your child’s educational growth for the past quarter.
How Did We Do, Moby Max?
Last December, Ms. Egli, our school Intervention Specialist, announced that a school-wide competition for the winter break MobyMax Class Top Pointer was on, starting December 22nd. The class with the most points from correctly answered questions from Moby Max will win a class pizza party on January 11th. For those who are not familiar with Moby Max, it is an online program that our school has adopted to support our curriculum. MobyMax helps teachers to find and fix the gaps with the power of personalized learning. Thus, creating an individualized learning plan for each student based on their own pace and capabilities.
I truly hope that your child was able to participate in this winter break learning marathon through MobyMax. Thank you to all who supported this meaningful cause.
I Enjoyed this Video
Teaching Kindergarten Common Core Math Standards (Addition)
The above link is a video that I enjoyed so much as I am preparing myself to get started with our Math lesson this Monday. Please try to find some time to watch the entire video for it inspired me and made me “itch” to get back to my classroom ASAP! I hope that you, parents and families, will also enjoy and learn a thing or two about how to support your child as we dive into the world of Operations and Algebraic Thinking lessons of the Common Core Standards. I am so excited to see how much we can accomplish in our Math class this year! Thank you.
Do You Know This “+” Sign?
If you don’t know what that symbol is, that’s alright. You don’t have to worry because we will start learning about it the week we come back from winter break. If you want to have a headstart, here is a video that might help you understand it. Enjoy!
