Mark your calendars! October 3rd is a special day for it will be our MC Cash Mc Teacher’s Night. The staff and teachers of our school will be helping and serving the customers of the MC Donald’s restaurant located at 5120 W Baseline Rd, Laveen Village, AZ 85339. All students and families are welcome to join in the fun and laughter starting at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The proceeds of this fundraiser will help provide benches for the students to sit on in the courtyard area of the school and a shade structure for the 4th-8th-grade playground/field area.

We would like to spend a memorable night with you all and at the same time support each other for a very great cause. Your generosity is appreciated.

This event is sponsored by the MC Cash Booster Club. We hope to see you there!

Comparing Numbers

Let’s compare numbers by counting, naming, and writing numbers to 10. You can practice this skill at any fun activity

or chore at home, in a grocery store, on a farm, at the fair, at the playground, etc. Happy hunting and happy comparing!

Perfect P!

We are learning about the perfect letter Pp this week. Please help your child find words that begin with the /p/ sound. Try to challenge your child if they can name words that have the /p/ sound at the end. Plenty of practice for a perfection of /p/!

Counting 1,2,3,4,5

This week, we will start our Chapter on counting and cardinality. The first chapter is focused on counting, reading, writing and making groups of 1-5 objects. You can help your child master these skills by practicing with them using different household items that will keep them engaged. Such things are and not limited to the following: beans, marbles, clothing during laundry time, buttons, shoes, pillows, chairs, their own toys, books, cereal, windows, rooms, doors, steps to and from a room in your house, cars they see on the way to the store, and many many more. You can also help them practice writing the numeral using tactile materials by using small items to form the number, sand, playdoh, shaving cream, sandpaper to trace, etc. By doing so, you will be supporting your child to meet their kindergarten goals of counting to 100 and identifying numbers 0-20. Your time and effort to practice with your child will show a great difference in his/her success in this school year! Thank you!
