Teacher Bio

Hi!  My name is Monica Gallo, and I am a Resource Teacher at Laveen Elementary School.  This will be my eighth year teaching, and my third year teaching with the Laveen School District.  I am so excited to be here!

I am an Arizona native and graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in English Literature and a master’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.

I believe in creating a positive classroom environment where students can develop their academic and social skills.  I also believe in celebrating our successes!  In my classroom, students work hard to improve the skills they need in order to be successful.  We also work on adding “tools” to our “academic tool box” so that students feel prepared to tackle academic challenges.  With perseverance and a positive attitude, anything is possible!
