All About Ms. Long
Welcome to Kindergarten!!!
My name is Ms. Long and I am truly excited to be part of this amazing Kindergarten Team! More importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! It is going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures. This year has a lot in store for us and I can’t wait to learn about you. Although, let me tell you about myself.
I was born in Riverside, CA and moved to this great state when I was six years old. I have an older brother named Darrell and a younger stepsister named Heather. I love them dearly! When I graduated from Mesquite High School in 2002, I attended Mesa Community College to get a degree in Nursing. I decided it was not my passion and I switched my Major to Education. After, I transferred to Arizona State University and received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for six years, I made the decision to get my Masters Degree. I graduated in April 2015 with a Masters Degree in Reading.
My first year I taught 2nd grade in the Higley School District at Higley Elementary. I transferred schools in the District, Centennial Elementary, and taught Kindergarten for three years. I changed school districts and ended up at Riverside Elementary in the Riverside School District teaching 1st grade for two years. Eight years ago I came to Rogers Ranch to teach Kindergarten and I haven’t looked back 🙂 Having experience in Kindergarten and first grade will help me challenge your child to succeed.
I am so excited to be your teacher and for you to be apart of this amazing Clubhouse. It is going to be a ‘hot dog’ year!!!
