3rd Grade Assignments

Quarter 1: Basic Computer Skills and Google Driver’s License

After coming from a year of making sure they are able to type well, the students are reviewing these skills for the first few weeks of the quarter. Hand positions are watched and the students are expected to increase their accuracy and WPM.

In this quarter students will be required to present the slides they created in the first. Once finished, they will start learning the basics of Google Drive and earning their “Google Driver’s License Class C”.

Quarter 2: Presentations and Application of Google Driver’s License C

This quarter will be spent on learning Google Slides and creating an “ALL ABOUT ME” assignment. They will create 5 slides, using bullet points, and inputting graphics.

Quarter 3 and 4: Block Coding

Students will be introduced to a programming language called Scratch. They will learn sequencing and the logistics of writing code.
