Ms. Burnap will be LIVE for Meet meeting in 5th Graders and Families on MONDAY at NOON. Students are NOT able to access the link until Ms. Burnap is in the MEET meeting.
- Students should look for a second meeting on Wednesday in the Reading or Math classroom at NOON.
Reading:
Monday
- Choose ONE WHODUNNIT? Mystery to read: The Jetpack Catastrophe or The Missing Pooch
- Read Day 1 material
- Choose an activity from the Verbal-Linguistic row of the Choice Board
Tuesday
1.Read Day 2 material
2.Choose an activity from the Visual-Spatial row of the Choice Board
Wednesday
- Read Day 3 material
- Choose an activity from the Logical-Mathematical row of the Choice Board
Thursday
- Read Day 4 material
- Choose a final activity from the Naturalist row of the Choice Board
Friday
- Read Day 5 material
- Complete the “Detective’s Case Evaluation” (add info to your choice board Google Doc.)
- Finish and “TURN IN” or submit your work in Google Classroom OR share your choice board material through email.

- FINISH any choice board activities from Monday-Thursday that are not done then “TURN IN”, submit, or share.
- If you “TURNED IN”, submitted, or shared on Thursday…YOU ARE DONE!!

- Preview the different biomes
- Select the biome you wish to research
Tuesday-Friday
- Using the document shared “Biome Study” and the links begin researching your biome
- Answer the questions provided
- If you find anything else of interest about your biome, feel free to add that information.
- Research MUST be done because next week you will APPLY the research to a PROJECT.
Social Studies:
Monday-
- Read the screenshot for Lesson 1 of We The Civics Kids: American Flavor: A Cultural Salad of Diversity
Tuesday-
- Reread the screenshot for Lesson 1, if needed
- Respond to the “Sticky Situation” in Google Docs.
Wednesday-
- Reread the screenshot for Lesson 1, if needed
- Respond to the “Let’s Hear Your Voices” questions in Google Docs.
Thursday-Friday-
- Nothing new. Complete the work from Monday-Wednesday then “TURN IN”, submit, or share the Google Doc.
**Students should check in on 5th Graders and Families Google Classroom for general information about the week (announcements, birthdays, etc.) as well as BRAIN BREAK activities.
