Teacher Bio

Hello! As a Phoenix native, I have grown to love the heat. Apart from the one year I attended Kindergarten in Mexico, I have lived here in the Valley my whole life. I spent my younger years hanging out at my local Boy’s and Girl’s Club, and my teen years working at Phoenix public pools. After grading from the PUHSD I wanted to pursue a career in education. Ultimately I attended, and graduated, from Arizona State University (as a first-generation college graduate), and am now pursuing my Master’s at Grand Canyon University. In my teaching career, I have enjoyed my time spent in 3rd and 4th grade and in K-8th Life Skills. I am now entering my 4th year in the behavioral classroom.

In my free time, I love to explore Arizona. Whenever possible I take mini vacations and find myself exploring new hiking trails, and cities I’ve never been to before, and I always enjoy finding a place to go swimming. Escaping the heat is hard sometimes but when it’s not too hot I love hiking all around the Valley and spend a lot of time hanging out with my friends at local parks and restaurants.

Although I love living in Phoenix, I love to see the landscapes and cultures of other cities, so whenever possible I pack my bags and travel somewhere new. Of the places I have visited, my favorite has been Puerto Rico. Still, I have many more places I plan to one day experience.
