Teacher Bio

Welcome Desert Meadows Bobcats and Families!

My name is Eleni Seechoma and I am the K-4 Special Education Resource Teacher here at Desert Meadows! Some of you may know me from my vast experience in the Laveen Elementary School District, but for those of you who don’t, I’d love to introduce myself to you all! I have been with the Laveen Elementary School District for almost 10 years. I have worked my way through various positions to get where I am today; starting as a Special Education Instructional Associate for 6 years, a Move on When Reading interventionist for 4 years, and I taught a quarter of Kindergarten just last year. I have always loved the commitment and dedication to ensuring all students reach their academic and social potential here at Desert Meadows, so I knew this was the place for me to start my long career in education. I have learned through the years that all students in the LESD have greatness in them, no matter if they have exceptionalities. Some of the greatest minds in history were seen as “different” or possessed exceptionalities, and they changed the world for the better. I am looking forward to helping our students at Desert Meadows work toward and accomplish the unimaginable! I hope you’ll join me on this wonderful ride this school year!
