Teacher Bio

Hi! I will be your child’s first grade teacher.  My name is Ericka Rodriguez and I am thrilled to meet you and welcome you to our classroom! It’s going to be a great year with lots of learning and fun! I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

I have been happily married to my husband Emmanuel for 20 years and have two wonderful kids. My oldest Isaac just graduated high school and my youngest Mia is in the 11th grade. We love animals and we have Dodger our bearded dragon, Sheeva our pitbull, Miloh our little Chihuahua, and a tank full of colorful fish.

I attended the University of California in Santa Barbara UCSB where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Literature. I recently completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU. I have over 15 years of experience working in education with 9 years of teaching experience. I previously taught for 4 years at Vista del Sur Accelerated Academy. This will be my year second at Estrella Foothills Global Academy!
