Dear Parents:

On Friday you should have received a letter from the district regarding the opening of schools for on-site, in person instruction. (Attached below)

Over the summer you were surveyed as to which learning option you preferred for your child. We know the COVID-19 situation has changed greatly since then and are therefore asking you to confirm your selection.

Please let me know which of the Four Schooling Options you prefer for your child to participate in.  You can reply to this email or call me at 602-237-9120, ex. 3216.  We need your updated response as soon as possible.

 

The four options are:

• Daily On-Site Learning (Full-Day, Every-Day at School)
• Estrella Foothills Global Academy (Grades K-6, class sizes capped at 18 students)
•  Distance Learning (students will participate in classes online with the option to return to in-person learning after Winter Break)
•  Full Online Learning (students will continue online learning through May 2021)

It is important that you make your selection by September 11 as we will be using this information to make staffing adjustments and possible class assignment changes.

9.03.20-Benchmarks-and-Reopening

For a test next week, EVERYONE needs to have a headphone/micorphone combo.  If you do not have a headset like this, you can pick one up at our school.  Please do this by Friday!

The school is open from 7:30-3:30.

No special dates or times or tests or anything.

Progress reports and test data will be sent out Wednesday.

 

 

Power down your child’s chromebook by holding the power button until it turns completely off.  Then turn it back on.

 

This will allow important updates to load and make our NWEA testing run smoothly in the next few days.

Our NWEA Testing is next week!  It will alter our schedule from Tuesday to Thursday.

 

To practice what testing will be like, on Friday, we will do a practice NWEA Math test during our Math time at 1:00.  Please make sure your child has headphones for this and especially for next week, during our actual testing.

 

 

Please come pick up additional materials your child will need to continue his or her online learning!

We start with Spalding at 8:15,

ELA is at 10:40,

Math is at 1:00.

Specials (Music now) is in there from 12:20-1:00, but please try not to be late for Math.

 

Google Meet codes will be visible about 10 minutes before each live lesson begins.  From there, you and your child can complete the other sections of each lesson on your own, after the live lesson is over.  I will be available on the Google Meet to help.
