About Me!

Hello! I’m Mrs. Raye

Teaching is a true passion of mine. I love the look on a child’s face the moment the ‘light bulb’ goes off and everything clicks. It’s seeing that in my students that makes my heart happy. It’s in that moment I know I am making a positive impact in my student’s lives. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. It’s going to be a year of flexibility, changes but most importantly it’s going to be a learning adventure. As your child enters first grade I want to let you know that we are a family of learners now. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. With that in mind I’d like to share a little about myself. 

I am married with 4 beautiful children. My family is my pride and joy, they keep me busy and I love every moment. Some of my hobbies include riding horses, playing sports and learning new things. 

I have been an educator for 14 years, teaching grades pre-k through 6th grade. I am also currently a student myself, pursuing my Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership with a focus in literacy.

Early education is my first love. It’s a time when I have the biggest impact in a child’s educational career. I am able to build the foundations for their future learning and I assist them in becoming passionate lifelong learners who will lead the future. My philosophy is that every child is capable of learning and growth. It is my mission to provide an environment that is safe, caring and supportive that promotes learning to occur. I also believe that communication is key. I will do my my best to keep an open and 2-way communication from home to school. Together we can work together to provide the best possible learning services that your child needs. I look forward to a great year together.
