Teacher Bio
About Mrs. Gutierrez
I am originally from sunny Southern California, but have been calling Arizona home since 2006. My husband and I share our home with our three kids, two dogs, and cat. When I am not in the classroom teaching, my family and I enjoy spending time outdoors- especially if it includes being in or near water. I am excited and ready to get the 2022-2023 school year started with you all! While times may be uncertain, one thing remains unchanged, every student deserves a quality education and the right to be safe and healthy- we are in this together!
This will be my 19th year in the field of child development/education and 13th year with the Laveen school district. I hold a Master’s Degree in elementary education and are currently working on a second Master’s to become a reading specialist. Over the course of my career, I have taught everything from preschool through third grade. This experience gives me the advantage of knowing what your child should have learned and what they will need to know. It has been an amazing experience and privilege to grow close to many families in our community over the years. I am excited to continue being a part of the ram fam in English this year! Being a parent myself, I try to bring a sense of home away from home into the classroom and treat your children as I would appreciate my own children being treated and cared for.
Some of my favorites:
Restaurant: Chipotle, Yogis Grill, Texas Roadhouse, Subway
Drink: Cold coffee/ tea, water, Starbucks refreshers
Candy: Gummy Bear and Red Vines
Store: Target, Lakeshore, Amazon
Team: Los Angeles Dodgers
I truly look forward to getting to know you all and making the most of our year together!
