HOMEWORK POLICY
- Students will have homework in Reading, Mathematics, and/or Writing from Monday through Friday.
- Students should spend between 1 to 1 ½ hours daily on their homework. It isn’t healthy for students to stay up for three to four hours or midnight to finish homework when they are struggling with the concepts.
- If a student is struggling, they will need to bring their unfinished homework to class the next day and there will be individual tutoring time on the skill for the student.
- The homework will be graded in class the next day. Most of the homework will be a review of skills that have been taught or are being taught.
- **THERE is a difference between Homework and Class Work. All class work will be completed in the classroom.
- Sometimes there are unforeseen family events that will prevent a student from completing their homework. If this occurs, please send an e-mail or a note.
- Thank you for helping your child to complete their homework. Additionally, all students will benefit to read daily. Having a Library card to a Public Library inspires students to develop a love for reading. E books are also great!
