Welcome Roadrunners! My name is Shannon Gregory and I am the M.C. Cash School Counselor. I am so happy to have the opportunity to help your children have a successful school year. It is my job and goal to ensure that each student is able to excel not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. My role as a School Counselor includes servicing students in individual and group settings for school related concerns, responding and managing crisis, serving on special education teams, developing behavior plans, and referring students and families to appropriate outside services if needed.
It is important for you to know that the things I talk about with students will be kept confidential, which means I will not share them with anyone. What is said in my office, stays in my office. However, there are three times when I may need to share information with an outside person for help. First, if I near about a student who is planning to hurt someone; Second, if I hear about a student who plans to hurt himself or herself; Third, if I hear of a child who is may be being abused or neglected.
