Welcome

Welcome to second grade! My name is Ms. Kirk, and I am your child’s second grade teacher in room D146.  I am very excited to work with you and your child. I know we will have a great year, and all students will make significant improvements in reading, writing, and math!

In class, all students will meet the following expectations:

1. Follow directions quickly
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak
3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat
4. Make smart choices
5. Keep your dear teacher happy

These rules will help foster a safe, peaceful learning community; in which students will be able to academically and socially succeed.

However, if a student chooses to ignore our classroom

expectations, the consequence list will be as followed:

1. verbal warning
2. written warning
3. 5 minute, in-class reflection
4. out of class reflection and a note/call home
5. office referral and phone call home
