Teacher Bio

Since I will be spending a large chunk of time with your student, I wanted to share some background about myself!

This will be my sixth year teaching First Grade and my third year teaching at M.C. Cash. I am from Nebraska which is where I received my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and an endorsement in English as a Second Language at Concordia University. I am currently earning a Masters Degree in Reading.

After college I was fortunate enough to travel! I taught in the village, Namzamo in Africa for 3 months and was able to explore while there. Once I returned to the U.S. I was a substitute teacher in Nebraska. The following summer I chaperoned a high school trip to India where I helped these students create fun, valuable lessons and was also able to co-teach in the local schools. Once I returned to the U.S. again, I began my First Grade journey!

At home, I have a two dogs, Remy and Jema who keep me busy! Remy is an American Staffordshire mix, she is1 and has SO MUCH ENERGY and loves to cuddle! Jema is a 5 year old American Staffordshire mix with the biggest and cutest brown eyes! We love hiking, exploring, napping and playing fetch.

Some of my favorites are Raising Cane’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Pepperoni pizza, reality tv, Amazon, Target and shopping!

As you continue to get to know me I also look forward to getting to know all of you and your students as well!!!
