Let’s work together to make this school year a success! Please have your child read independently for 10 minutes daily.
Each homework assignment = 1 sticker
On an average week, your child must earn 8 stickers a week to earn a prize from our classroom’s treasure box. The required amount of stickers may vary.
Monday:
Sight Word Rings – Students should read their sight words, put a star on the back of each word they read automatically, and have parents/guardians sign and date the back of the card with their name.
Math Worksheet – Parents/guardians should read the questions and have students solve the problems independently.
Tuesday:
Decodable – Students should read their decodable book independently to their parent/guardian as many times as needed until they can read it fluently. Parents/guardians must sign the front of the decodable in order for students to earn their sticker.

Wednesday:
Rainbow Spelling – Students should pick three different colored crayons/pencils and write each spelling word in the three different colors. Then have them pick at least one spelling word to use in a sentence and write it on the lines provided.

Thursday:
Reading Log – Students should read a book of their choice at home for at least 15 minutes and complete the reading log in their homework folder. If your child has completed or lost their reading log, a new one can be provided.
