Teacher Bio

I am a native Californian who transplanted here six years to teach in the Fowler School District. I taught in Fowler as a 6th grade ELA teacher for one year and moved to the Cartwright School District. I have spent five years in Cartwright as a 6th grade Social Studies and Science Teacher. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. I am a product of a teacher home as my mother was a kindergarten teacher for 30 years.

I am married to my best friend who gave me four step children and a grandmother of twins. In my free time I love to go boating on the Colorado River, go snorkeling in Mexico and Florida, watch movies, cook, and relax by my pool. I am also a fur baby mom as I have a two year old boxador who is the silliest but smartest dog around.

I love teaching Science as I love to see the students eyes open wide when they finally understand something in the world. The students in my classroom will participate in many labs and inquiry processes.

I am excited to teach the students in Laveen this year.
